The Trophy honours a legend of the of the club, someone who attacked the ball with ferocity, a ball player first and foremost, who backed into huge packs not considering his own safety for a moment and if you were tackled by him, you knew all about it! Without doubt he was the complete footballer...not only did he possess the above characteristics he was a wonderful overhead mark, could play forward, back or on ball and could kick plenty of goals as well. He was also one of the few players where no one knew what foot he kicked with, as his proficiency on either side were equal.

Frank was a one club player, multiple inter league representative, team of the double decade player Cora Lynn and Team of the Century Player Cora Lynn.
